Eagle's Wings / Eagle's Eye's Poem by Herbert Dry

Eagle's Wings / Eagle's Eye's

Rating: 1.5

If I had the wings of an eagle over the mountains
I would soar
If I had the eyes of an eagle I would watch
the valley floor

If I could borrow cupids bow and
arrows
I would capture your heart with arrows
made with
flowers

On the eagle's wings with you I
would fly
And show you the world from an
eagle's eye

To watch the moon and stars in the silence
of the night
We would seal our love for each other
in dawns early
light

If I were an eagle my wings I would
spread
We hear each other when
there's no words
said

If I were an eagle on the currents of the
wayward wind we would
fly
Like a cloud without care we would float
in the sky
