Early Morning Flow Poem by Alanna Flynn

Early Morning Flow

Ahh early morning.
-little to no clothing.
feeling dazed with sleepy blues eyes that show my soul.
these words can’t be stopped.
when they’re beginning to flow.
flustered and heart pumpin’
with a yearning
to rest or reminisce.
Must adjust
-my current situation
But my mind is caught up in city lust
I wait for the days of hours spent in bed.
No worries, just satisfaction.
Letting that guard down.
For a mutual attraction-
Gotta stay up, stay tough..
Can’t let myself fall.
Can’t wear my heart
on my sleeve.
but I’m fallin’..
for this boy with 200 miles in between!
is he there to catch me?
