Earth, Hell And Heaven; Any Difference? Poem by Veeraiyah Subbulakshmi

Earth, Hell And Heaven; Any Difference?

I am a rat, escaped from Hell,
where I see the dance and music,
the fine theatrical performance,
amidst the background bands,

the wonderful souls there, not screaming,
but singing the verses from holy texts,
having glaring posture of all terrain,
it is too much for me to escape and run,

Does a soul of a rat differ from a dinosaur,
Or from an Elizabeth, Henry or Moghul,
Who wear scarf, pants and turban,
Always in clean clothes and crown.

My journey from hell to heaven is too short,
As Bernard Shaw still in the middle,
As he argues a lot and his case not settled,
The shaven shade of Karl Marx talks about wealth,

Is a rat ‘s soul smaller than the rest,
Or weaker than big mouthed prophets,
Who are all assigned to blistering hell,
To teach the souls of dirt to get salvaged

That is the reason I escaped from the hell,
Their voices are too loud belittling one another,
Girls are traumatized and young boys are scared,
straightforward Satan is the king in the land of hell

after reached the heaven, I heard the screams,
in multiple tongues; many demanded for virgins,
seventy-two in numbers and Gods are confused,
ordered the curfew; holy souls rebelled,

heaven is not yet a sound proved kingdom,
so I heard these noise at the threshold,
whether to enter heaven or return to the place,
where I belong; not deceitful Satan may punish.

Screams from heaven heard at home,
In the middle of the night or at dawn,
Ego Drunken and confused tormentors are born,
From where we wouldn't know and confirm,

disturbed my sleep after a heavy meal,
Of laced cheese and nuggets. I was shocked to see,
These loving human to throw the dust bin,
On each other's head and smell as wilting blooms,

The heaven on earth or hell in heaven,
Has no difference for a rat and an insane.
