Easter Poem by Randy McClave

Easter

Today he was resurrected
He came out from the cave,
The son of God was selected
Unto death, man would not be a slave.

The son of man must suffer and die
But, in three days he will rise again,
So, for him do not weep or cry
He suffered and died, for man's sin.

On a Friday he was mocked and crucified
He then died slowly upon the cross,
For him only a few cried
As they all saw and thought of a painful loss.

His body was placed inside a tomb
Then unto the opening was placed a giant stone,
Death was what all did assume
Then in three days God's promise was shown.

The angels moved the stone in a wist
His followers then looked upon his burial clothes,
He showed the marks upon his wrist
From the grave, Jesus had arose.
