Easter Weekend - Poem by Noemi Lee
When I was younger
This was the weekend
That I would look forward to
For weeks on end.
Lunch in the park on Saturday
Time with family
And my parents friends
Beautiful things I possessed without knowledge
It was so long ago.
I never realized there would come a time in my life
That I would fight
to once again possess them.
But it was the only way to truly meet
The only one
Who could provide them.
