Eating The Hamburger Alone Poem by RIC BASTASA

took my big bite
sipped my ice cold Nestea
feasted my eyes on the garden
beyond the glass windows

in my throat down to my tummy
and despite its shorter consumption
i was still hungry
in fact hungrier than before
my head was empty
and my body floated
among the other bodies
inside the cold mall...
