Echizen Crabs - Poem by Saiom Shriver

Slave ships on the horizon
approach the shore
with their prisoners:
Echizen crabs.

The innocents are hustled into
the pots of the waiting on shore.
Will the crabeaters soon glow
with Fukushima radiation?

Poet's Notes about The Poem

NHK, Japanese television, spends an inordinate amount of time on
the slaughter and preparation of sea creatures.
