Echoes Of A Fading Deem Poem by Keerthana M.

Echoes Of A Fading Deem

I hold a world of numbers and stars
Dreaming of reaching realms afar
Equations call, their whispers sweet
But a glowing screen keep my defeat

A siren's lure, it draws me in,
Promising growth, but masking sin.
Stories shallow, reels so brief,
Steal my time, replace belief.

I know its game, its cunning play,
How it molds my mind like fragile clay.
The cravings grow, they never cease,
Feeding on junk, I lose my peace.

My parents' trust, a gift divine,
Yet here I waste what could be mine.
They see ambition, steady and wise,
While regret and tears fill my skies.

Each wasted hour leaves its sting,
A hollow ache, a restless wing.
The pull is strong, but I'll outlast,
For dreams are mine, steadfast and vast.

The dawn still calls with its golden light,
A beacon shining through endless night.
No chain can hold what my heart can be,
I'll rise, I'll thrive, and I'll set me free.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It is the result of my frustration regarding the algorithms that is making us addicted to it, I too a refuge of it so I know how hard it is to come back and lead a normal life. Yet I promise to myself that I will try to come out of it.
