The Battle Within Poem by Keerthana M.

The Battle Within

I hold a world of numbers and stars,
Dreaming of reaching realms afar.
Equations call, their whispers sweet,
But a glowing screen keeps my defeat.

It pulls me in, a siren's song,
To places I know I don't belong.
Stories and reels, they steal my day,
While precious hours just slip away.

I pause, I fight, I make a vow,
To break these chains, to rise somehow.
Yet cravings linger, they weigh me down,
Junk and noise my senses drown.

My parents trust, a fragile thread,
Their love sustains the hope I've fed.
I know their faith deserves much more,
A child who soars, not hides ashore.

So here I stand, in battle's heat,
To claim the dreams I long to meet.
The stars still wait, their light so near,
And I'll rise above, despite the fear.
