Eclipse Of The Sun Poem by Kuldeep Dongre

Eclipse Of The Sun

Oh! this celestial splendor,
Forever an inquisitive plunder,
The admiration, the surrender.

Phenomenon is old,
Scriptures have foretold,
Whispers linger, "lie still.", "behold".

May be the event is rare,
Interest unabated thence I swear,
How else do you explain the despair?

"Sure? ? affect not permanent? "
Ask many gazing the firmament,
As astrologers personalize the predicament.

A child swiftly in all its might,
Galloped, was stopped, held tight,
For a bare view risks the eye-sight.

Grand spectacle, wear a new lens,
Doctors issued a caution, no pretense,
Rays are ultra-violet, intense.

A study opportunity, the surface, symmetry,
Scientists, curiously, read the telemetry,
Exciting, the shadow, the simple geometry.

Far somewhere in another Galaxy,
Events happen but none to see, a pity,
God, deposit some to enjoy the ecstasy.

With eclipse sprang a question,
What if the Sun decides to stop his daily run?
Stunning silence, its done, all of a sudden.

Is this an innate human wish? a grail?
To witness, the powerful fail,
Giving pleasure and strength to the frail?
