Eight Years Poem by Josh Menard

Eight Years

It's been eight years
Since that day
Before I saw You
I was nothing but astray
When I look back
At the things I've done
I think to myself,
'Man, have I really won? '
These battles I face
Day after day
Was just You
Keeping my demons at bay
I'm so glad
That You're around
Cause You strike my enemies
Without a sound
Now as I wait
For that Day to come
I'll be sitting here patiently
Knowing my life is not a crumb
And when You come
On that fateful Day
Tearing Life apart
Like a piece of clay
I will not be fearful
But have joy
With me now knowing
I'm not Satan's toy

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I've been 'following' Christ since I was seven, but after a couple of years, that died down, and I want to know Him more...
