Ek Dalit Ladaki Ka Dukh (Ek Drishya, Kaisei Usake Tutei Sapnei!) / A Dalit Girl's Sorrow (An Image, How Her Broken Dreams!) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Ek Dalit Ladaki Ka Dukh (Ek Drishya, Kaisei Usake Tutei Sapnei!) / A Dalit Girl's Sorrow (An Image, How Her Broken Dreams!)

Where was she born,
Where grew she up,
Where did she live, where not,
Where slept she on floor, where not,
Which house her own, which not,
Sometimes got she food, sometimes not,
Living hungry spent she life,
Nothing with to eat,
The pot is not for keeping drinking water,
Cosmetics not for a dress-up, make-up,
How her dreams,
How her life?

Poor India,
Poor tales of it,
Taking to the broken dreams she has to comb her life,
The heart is that pulsating,
Things need not be dismantled or dislodged!

Kahan wah janma li,
Kaha badhi-pali,
Kaha rahanei ko mila yaa nahi,
kahan soyi jamin pe, kaha nahi,
Kaun ghar usaka, kaun nahi,
Kabhi khana mila, kabhi nahi,
Bhukhe raha usanei katayi raatei,
Khanei ko kucch nahi,
Pinei ko jagah nahi,
Saaj-sajja ko samaan nahi,
Kaisei usake sapnei,
Kaisi usaki jindagi?

Garib Bharat,
Garib kahaniya,
Tute sapno ko lei hi jindagi sawarani hai,
Dila jo magar jinda hai,
Tutana jo nahi chahiyei!
