Embodied By Restlessness Poem by Craig Turner

Embodied By Restlessness

Rating: 5.0

Captivated by his own restlessness,
Wandering the streets,
Taking in ever waning ideas of grandeur,
Promising day dreams left lay down the back of the sofa,
Talent remains,
Passion refrained,
Embodied by restlessness,
Searching for an ever brighter day

Swollen hands making it hard to feel,
Little innocent criticisms let fly by,
Brought back to haunt him as the only thing thats real,
Staring at the ceiling,
Transifixed ears on the wind chimes outside,
Swallowing fear and punctured pride,
The rain falls in tandem with the tears inside,
Embodied by restlessness.
