Emily Smile To Me Poem by Matt Western

Emily Smile To Me

Every moment I hold you in my thoughts
Manifests something more than profound
I envisage you crawling in tune with motion and sound
Like a turtle would move across the ground

You're a beautiful girl my diamond and pearl
Soon will be the time to break the mould
Meet me one day in the outside world
If I had the chance I wouldn't leave you out in the cold

Love is the message through which I wish to spark
Not easy to capture like the feathers of a dove
To me you embody the flight of the skylark
So open your heart to the heavens above

Make every moment in life last a lifetime
Emily you're sublime and a child of mine
