Poem by Harlan Simantel

The emptiness shows through
in all you do.
What is life for?
Why is it so much of a chore?
Grief and heartache at its core.
Fill up your life
with things to do
But remember One who loves you so -
Escape from the hole
that gnaws at your soul.
