Empty - Poem by Johnny Golding

They poke me and
they punch me,
Their words cut deep
into my flesh.

I stand there not
bravely, not
with pride
and spirit, no.

My emotions have
run dry, my senses,
fled in pain and
agony.

I stand an empty
statue with a
broken heart, lost for
my crushed soul.
