something changing

Empty - Poem by something changing

empty eyes
tell the lies
of what once caused them pain

empty faces
tell the tales
of loved ones lost not gained

empty souls
scream the songs
of pain felt long ago

empty hearts
from heartache they should never know

empty people
stand and watch
as they suffocate from sorrow

empty days
are spent
waiting for another empty tomorrow
