Empty Churches Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Empty Churches

A heart that believes, a spirit that knows,
That's where the Christian journey truly grows.
No building of stone, no pew to be found,
Can hold the vast love that circles around.

God walks with us all, where our footsteps may lead,
In the quiet of home, or a gambler's wild need.
The stories we hold, in the Bible so true,
And prayers whispered softly, reaching Him, it is through.

It's faith in your soul, in Jesus' kind name,
A trust in His promise, a steady, bright flame.
Though churches can offer a comfort so deep,
And friends who walk with you, secrets to keep,

Your faith is your own, a personal light,
Shining within, through the darkest of night.
So wherever you are, with a hopeful embrace,
You're a Christian indeed, in this time and this place.
