Empty Future
these choices from an early age,
our minds have not yet matured,
these tasks in which we must engage,
with your position never secured.
challenges ahead we face,
we're predicting that it's hard,
but the happy times we must embrace,
and the difficult discard.
one day we will be broken,
and the next accepted in,
at times we'll be out spoken,
but let the adventure begin.
