Empty Heart Poem by Ifeleye Ray

Empty Heart

EMPTY HEART
Fire on earth
Ashes everywhere
As well as empty heart
Which has nothing to share

Foes burns like flame that I see
Friendsin need are beneath the sea
Not through road swallowed in sins
This ain't a book that contains all the scenes

Read and think if it is sane to flee
Hard trial to change all stories remain mean
As easy as the word "free"
But nothing on earth is meant for me

Pretence and fakesmiles are felt
Still sitting there in the dirt
No one to wipe the tears that fell
As tree and air and nature are despicable with threat

"Wash off my dirt" I say
To river that lies far away
But firmly are chains of woes
That dragged me to friends but foes

Futile are my search for mercy's horn
Truly known that mercy is nowhere
Goneinto a journey of no return
Hailing hate above everything in birth

Dreams that are so much desire
And whispering heart writes legibly in the air
"Joy that you seek goes nowhere
But hard to believe it's not in man"
