Empty Waiting Line Poem by Mehreen Mujeeb

Empty Waiting Line

Red and blue spots
Fill the spaces my eyes see
My neck is sore
From protracting in different axes.

I see the pain in a soul;
A pain I saw in myself
I want to stop it
Be someone i needed then.

One can lose their dignity
While holding on to a possible android
When comes the time to let it be?
That is what perplexes me.
Hurt I feel when people cause tears
Tears which they cannot see.

Being tested I am
On measuring distances.
Learning the patience
To travel the feeling of light years.

Maybe to accept;
One must deny.
Maybe.
