En Puente Poem by Timothy McPoetry

En Puente

Rating: 1.0

The Ticonderoga is my preference
What's yours?

Berol Eagle? Pentech?
Mechanical? Carpenters?

I know one thing
It better be made in the USA
Write with anything else?
NO WAY!

Sharpened to a fine point
That's what I need to craft my poetic points

Rough edge, chipped, uneven
That's a untensil I'll be leavin'
Under the desk or on the floor
Sharp pencils I need for sure
