End - Poem by Kelly Kurt

The party still goes on, but you have to leave
Not uninvited
A new party starts; you as the only guest
Others’ invitations, delayed
No rsvp required
Or possible

Well so is the life and death, one comes uninvited and for others all keep praying...Nice one Sir. (Report) Reply

Thank you, Mohammed. Powerless to change, acceptance is crucial

It is a powerful feeling to know that you are happy to be the only guest. Especially when they are celebrating constantly without you. This is I.
Let you remember, there is a positive in every new day! Heartache is an incredible lesson.
    Take good care.

The party called life goes on when you leave. (Unless you're solipsistic.: -)

Vie ne repondez pas s'il vous plait - Life does not respond when you please... The party is always over when on, and still going when over... Lonliness amidst an ocean of people is as much possible as feeling complete when alone. A brilliant write Kelly.. Thanks. (Report) Reply

I love to hear the variations of personal interpretations. Thank you, Souren

This is a cleverly woven write! Very thoughtful... The words you choose leave one feeling sad, but not overly so... After all, others' invitations are delayed, but for the most part, I suppose the party of seat is a solitary process. Well written. Tfs. (Report) Reply

A party of one is no party
    Quite hurtful loneliness,
    When you're the only guest.

The despondent feeling comes thru, many of us have felt it but not expressed it so well

When the party is over, there's no hand stamp that will let you back in.
