End Of A Long Day Poem by Chandler McD

End Of A Long Day

But, sitting here, sipping wine, gazing out
At the Ocean
I forget the briefcase by my chair, forget
The laptop, just for awhile. Just forget.

Music of whales is playing, a new CD,
Cinnamon incense spirals upwards.
Manx cat curled in my lap, making that
Strange cat snore.

I am really home. This place, this magic
Time is mine.
