End Of The River Poem by George Samuel

End Of The River

I smelled the river from my window,
The pure crystal water white,
It sliced the distance like a rainbow,
In a motion glowing bright,
Away it rolled like a wheelbarrow.

I felt the river wail,
So loud, to trouble a sleeping whale,
The voice of many waters hail,
A rush so pleasant to avail,
At last to the ocean tail.

Great wealth I'm sure it'll bring,
Through nature coming close,
With constant rushing by the spring,
Where ever the river chose..
The sailors with rejoicing sing.

I knelt and listened closer to the tides,
To spot where the leader hides,
With a steady morning run confide,
Neither breaking any lids,
In ceaseless torrential ride.
