Endeavour Poem by Varala Anand

Endeavour

Rating: 5.0

Early, before the sunrise
Felt somebody called me
I walked into the balcony

A pair of birds
In a lovely chat
Till then,
Flew away at once
Leaving a heavy heart

Two miniature pots
I brought
Hung in the balcony
For their nests
Next morning
I woke up before sunrise
Peeped through the window
The chirping birds
Swinging on the pots
Brought joy to heart

Soon they flew
To a hanging pumpkin
Began to make a hole
To build their own home

I was neither angry nor sad
They came closer to my heart
I appreciated their endeavour
