Ending
Once we were friendly.
Then we were more than friends.
Now there is nothing.
Must this be how it ends?
There comes a point of saturation in every relationship and the poems depicts that point. Wonderful! !
Every pertinent detail of a relationship in just 20 short and straightforward words. A whole story in 22 syllables. Every unspoken adjective adds a certain poignancy to the third line and the word 'nothing'. And... how does it end? A truly intriguing and seemingly subversive little poem. S :)
