Endless Maze Poem by Brie Pearce

Endless Maze

Rating: 5.0

My life is like an endless maze,
leaving me forever trapped
under its unfaltering gaze.
I twirl this way and that,
but I never quite escape.
It knows my every move, thought,
and even breath.
So how can I be free when I can
never compete?
I'll always be stuck,
stuck between these brooding walls,
that are ice cold to the touch.
Must I always be looking up at the clouds,
wishing for more?
Must I always be thirsting for lust?
Must I always be wondering if there is a god,
and if so how could he be so unjust?
