Endless Night Poem by skyy downing

Endless Night

i stay awake waitin for my phone to ring,
foolling myself causing the pain to sting,
knowing that what we had was nomore than a fling,
but my heart acted like a spoiled child,
wanting something it couldnt have (your heart) ,
funny thing is i loved you from the start,
first time our voices reached each end of the phone,
when your voice drifted away into the sounds of the dial tone,
my mind lingers on your everyword,
that flow into my soul like the harmony of a humingbird,
the silence of the night hurts me the worst because your not in my company,
remember when you shared the beauty of dawn with me,
we embraced eachothers bodies and admired one another like a
work of poetry,
we held eachother tight,
dawn turned night felt like you wanted me,
Damn am i a fool,
as i sit here with these endless tears,
Damn what should i do....
because i spend my night with endless fears,
of the thought of you not loving me,
Damn boy i need your company!
