"Endless Reverie"
Endless revolutions mark time,
Its second hand, indifferent and cold,
Watches pain that lingers, put on hold,
A bruising etched by ruthless chime.
Pulsing echoes of silent cries,
Darkness creeps, a mile so long,
In twilight's gentle, fading song,
Are crushed beneath their sorrowed sighs.
Despondent smiles that drown the day,
Waves of sails, rails affection's ghost,
Innocence here, a longing toast,
To happier times that slipped away.
Yet in this endless reverie,
We seek a light, a gentle breeze,
To lift the heart, put pain at ease,
And find in time, our sanctuary.
