Endless Wait Poem by Aswathi Asok

Endless Wait

I waited nine months to see your cute face
I waited patiently to see the day you crawling
I waited curiously to see the day you walking
I waited eagerly to hear the first word you speaking
I waited excitedly for your first school day
I waited impatiently every evening to see you back from the school
I waited for your comments after serving your favorite food
I waited restlessly at the railway station on your college's holidays
I waited hopefully to you see you getting married
I waited cheerfully to see my grand children
I waited happily for you all in my life and never felt tired
But, this time ‘'mom'' is waiting in the freezer for three days
You might be busy, have your own life, travelling takes more time
Sorry son, its dead cold mom cannot long any more 'GOOD BYE''.
