Endless Walking Poem by A. R. Joe

Endless Walking

As I walked on the road in the evening
Saw a tree on the edge standing
No leaves, empty as plain sky
No birds found singing in branches
Nothing is to gain from it.

The evening sky is pregnant
Ready to deliver in drops but
Doesn't seem like delivering
The earth becomes dark and darker
No green is seen around me
All I could see the lonely tree
Uprooted from the earth to fly
Standing alone in the world
Bearing the miseries untold.

Something haunts me
The uncertainty of Life
No more the voice of the birds
Tree is caught up with darken gird
Nothing seems to be redeeming
For, the earth is more darkening
Will the moon rise to brighten?
Expect do I gentle breeze...
Continued my walking no grace
Walking, walking... becomes endless.
