Endure Poem by Cory Fox

Endure

These streets, that look, their cries, my face
Part of the grand design
A million hearts could take my place
Yet not one beats like mine

Beneath your tears, set before you
A thousand lofty dreams
No other could follow them through
Regardless of the means

At last the day the sky falls down
Will then decide my fate
How many more must also drown
If I can't bear the weight?

Who will fight if I lose my way?
If none will wait for dawn?
Or if in rage I dig two graves
When all I have is gone?

When I begin to come apart
I pray my heart stays true
For on the day you lose your heart
You lose the whole world too

We can't afford to shut our eyes
The risk is just too great
I have my faith the sun will rise
Until that time, I wait
