Enduring Memories Poem by Paul Warren

Enduring Memories

These enduring memories
Keep tripping me up you see
Of all those times I remember
Each kept alive from a flickering ember

They past through my memory
In a parade that I clearly see
And I know you are there
With a smile and a wave I declare

It's always like it was
The way I like it because
It's the only way it can be
You so young not ageing I see

To return to those days again
Such a treat I don't need to pretend
I'll file it away again carefully
So I'll have it to savour so easily.
