The day of the year is finally here
Again we gather together in good cheer
Christmas Eve is the Carols by Candlelight
With those treasured songs sung so bright
Families meet in each other's company
To Feast, to Laugh and to have Fun we agree
Peace on Earth and treasure fellowship for all
And mostly it's a happy time for children to recall.

You excellently captured the Christmas spirit in so few words... A lovely piece
nicely penned about the festive season, it's a pity it is only once a year
A fine and lofty piece of poetry in a verse with rhythmic splendour. Your diction is a complete delight.
We live our lives through the excited eyes of children at Christmas and this undoubtedly helps us through the Winter. Well done, Paul.
Congratulations, Paul on Poem Of The Day. Well deserved for spirit alone. Feast Laugh Fun Peace. Get Together & Come Together in the spirit of love all year long.
Captures the warmth of togetherness fostered by this season. I agree with Tom that it is a pity we cannot harness all of this goodwill for the rest of the year. Congratulations on Poem of the Day!
But we can, Seamus! Please read my Circle Of Higher Self and let's all get started!
