'Enigma' Poem by Jim Boone

'Enigma'

?

I've been called worse and
The caller had ‘Yoda' in mind
When she said that I Am one;
But 'obscure' in what I 'say
And write'(?) not I Mr. Webster.

However, after a drinking bout
With buddies, I can say crazy word
Combinations when suppressing the
‘Doer-be' inclinations that leave
The hearer or reader with an
Overload of huh? 's and
Unexplainable say what? 's.

Well hell, I'd rather be thought
Of as an 'enigma' than a loony
Pain in the ass, although I've
Been that too. Meantime...

An Illumination named Leah
Came back into the Daly life
Of a poet buddy and now
Into mine, and this ‘Marilyn'
Angel reminds me that in
The Master Class stage of life
It's soul quality that we most
Need in our lives after the
Overload of too much, too often;
Of the good, the bad and and the
Prayed for as the pains of rebellion
And resolution are done with us
And we're still here. OMG
