Entangled Poem by ian muhando

Entangled

The tentacles tightly my heart ensnare,
Choices I made, back to haunt,
Choking, gasping, wanting some air
The bad dream back to taunt,

I wish I could tell you it was not for real,
My heart slept, and fell in love,
If there was a way to un feel,
To undo all and my mind relieve,

The hurt is so sweet,
This much you meant to me,
So sad the pieces didn’t fit,
And Brocken you leave me,

It is time I cut you loose,
The grips and strings that am bound,
I hope we both find peace,
In other hearts we may wind,
