Envy Poem by Edwina Reizer

Envy

All you creatures great and small
all live within the minute.
Ever since you were born
you always lived within it.

No one to to say 'Wait 'til tomorrow.'
No one living on time they borrow.
For you don't have to think that far,
unlike we humans that live with sorrow

sometimes for a long, long time
while our tears do fall.
I, myself do envy you,
you creatures great and small.
