Epiphany Poem by Starrbox Munoz

Epiphany

Did you ever expect it to end?
The years flew by as we both crumbled into our own demise
Nothing ever seems to last...but alas we did have a marvelous run
Two young love birds destined to fail
I'm sorry I never made an an honest attempt to save ourselves

Looking back on our past I see that there was nothing in store for us
It's so sad that it ended the way it did, to break your fragile heart again
It's not what I meant to do, it's just who I am.
But nonetheless that's not an excuse.

Let me give you a piece of advice my dear
Never cease to let love in, one day you will find the right girl to make you happy
I'll tell you this much...you did soften my heart and I will owe it to you for the rest of my life
You truly are an incredible person and I hope one day you realize that my beloved
For now, just know that you will always and forever hold a special place in my tattered heart
