Era Of Pestilence Poem by Kayode Ogunleye

Era Of Pestilence

The plague full swift goes by
Lest it fall upon us with pestilence
Dis inherited, and hands stretch out
If there be pestilence, blasting mildew and locust
The world worst epidemics
Aids, blackdeath, influenza, sars and now Ebola
Awful appalling death upon us
When evil cometh upon us
The plague full swift goes by
Pestilence that besiege us
It lives and our life becomes
A prey for it
Everywhere with dramatic suddeness
Contagious, infectious, virulent and devastating
Cure of fear and uncertainty
Appalling for aids
