Erosion Poem by Julia Phillips

Erosion

Her love was like the open sea
Foaming, swirling
and running fathoms deep

His love was like a rocky cliff
Strong, fierce
and impenetrable to drift

Oh, but the sea is patient
and gently caressed the cliff
until he turned to sand
and washed into her
