Error Of Shame Poem by Sandile mngadi.

Error Of Shame

I found myself writing her name on a rock
With hope that no one will remove it
I found myself going thru all memories we shared
With faith that she will forever be my love
I found my body shaking just thinking about her
With butterflies there and there
I found out a day later that the name i wrote had spelling errors
I thought i said my one and only
Only to find out i actually wrote ONLY ME
The rock remained with my error
I with shame and tears
As hard as i tried to convince myself the spelling was right
What i was reading in my own art and reading was ONLY ME
Tears rolling in the palm of my hand
Art and shame is all left for me to read
Each time i passed the Rock i wished rain and storm can erase the error
The only thing i found was it was creating a green layer
Made my error look bigger for everyone passing to see
