Dear Esau,
I have seen your pain
I have seen your loss
I have seen your heart
and I understand.
Mine is growing colder
with every cruel glare.
And someday soon,
I will just be icy and bare.
But do not fret,
it’s as they say,
misery loves company
and I am not the same.
Jacob doesn’t know
he is an ignorant fool
it tis you and I
who have truly seen his soul.
Because though we are cold
we are not the foolish ones
we may hide in shadows
but we create no scars.
We are beat upon
we feel society’s rath
and up above he will look down one last time
and finally see
the fire is all that is left
when we are bind.
