Escape - Poem by Animosity Drowning

E veryone sleeps to dream
V irtue of veracity
I t's an escape
L ife itself does not

E xist outside of our beds
X -rated love, I say
I relive the mere moments
S tolen away by the boy
T ime stopped when I
S tepped into his arms

I think about how
T his love conquers my thoughts

I sleep to dream
S o I use myself

I n that, I abuse
N othing but myself

M y soul exerted energy, and it
E nded when he left me
