Escapism Poem by maria skinner

Escapism

Rating: 2.7

Noise all around me
cars whizzing by.
The buzz of a bee
a plane in the sky.

The cry of school children
as they run all about.
I need to escape from
the screams and the sounds.

Quiet in the countryside
rolling fields of pure green.
Wildlife all around me
so much to be seen.

Walking down by a stream
with the wind in my hair.
Watching the butterflies
flit through the air.
