Eternal Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Eternal

Rating: 2.7

I take these moons-necklace them
to string in your hair
combing them in
with black velvet night;
blue green and red stars too
sparkle there.

I taste your mouth of Fiery Sun
lay before you galaxy mints
which you taste as
whispers of love flow-

word streamers flying from heart
to heart
eye glances
white hot-
the soul's messengers.

We each exhale
blow Soft Summer
into the words
and I
sit cross-legged
as you kiss my eyes
as we fondle the night
The carpet we sit upon
is aurora green
my face burning into
your gingham dress;
you press me close
we each mindful

that moments such as these
are eternally eternal.

We have star soup for lunch
and dine on life's full course of happiness.
