Eternal Peace Poem by Kendra Day

Eternal Peace

Rating: 5.0

Day in and day out,
I contemplate what my life is about.
I look to the right,
I look to the left;
Then I shake my head for committing such theft.
I stole from my loved ones the hope they had kept.
Now I sit here with my head held low,
It is down to the last days before delivering the worst blow.
How did I get here?
Am I falling to my deepest low?
I know I was loved by few,
But now, I have to take care of something that is long overdue.
This has always been my plan,
It is not anything new.

I look to my right;
I look to my left;
Then I look straight ahead,
And walk to my bed.
For the first time ever,
A real smile I shed.
For I will receive eternal peace,
Now that I'm dead.
