Eternally Internal Poem by Taylor Hainline

Eternally Internal

Don't look into my eyes,
that's how people die.
They press to know me,
but the blind cannot see thee.

My heart, a wild thing,
contained inside this cage.
You cannot tame thee,
just leave me be.

My mind cannot be stopped,
my soul of boiling rage.
I'm a grenade wanting to explode.
I can make the world implode.

Go away, can't you see,
you can't stay with me.
Run, my friend,
this shall be the end.
