Eternity Poem by Wyatt Epple

Eternity

I tell of the day that my Love, she hath died,
This day that no hope I could sing
The day that the Lord now hath banished me
And the Devil uncurleth his wings.

I sat there in awe, for fear of is pow'r
And everyone 'round me hath cried.
I said to the devil, 'Have away with me now
So that I may soon see my bride.'

He whispered upon my ear, so dark,
'Your love you shall never see,
For she is mine to hold and keep
For all of eternity.'

So I wept and I cried, I mourned and I wailed
For my Love, I did miss her so,
And I knew that I'd suffer eternity
Before into her arms I could go.
