Eternity Poem by carolann crowley

Eternity

Rating: 5.0

I sit and look out at the sea
feed the swans that visit me
Catch fresh fish for me to eat
actually my life is quite neat
So many dreams I planned with care
all seemed to vanish into thin air
But I think it is not so bad
I cannot miss what I never had
I watch the sunset watch moonlight
guess my life turned out alright
I watch a Mud Swallow build her nest
as I sit and write my very best
My life's ambitions I will not doubt
Like the tides they move about
For I can soar to heights above
you see I am free just like a dove
So as I write my poems I see
I take my place in eternity
